Our consulting services, books and eCourses contain information geared for companies and organizations dealing with Millennials in their late teens and twenties. Much of this material is very useful when working with or parenting pre-teen and secondary school age Millennials.
The "Understanding the Millennial Mind - A Menace or Amazing?" book and the eCourse "Understanding Millennials" have material that is relevant to parents, churches and educators seeking to find a way to connect with this generation.
We have plans and are forming alliances with some special and highly credentialed parenting experts and will be offering specific material soon (within a year) - but for right now, we have testimonials from many, many parents and educators who at least have the light switch flipped on and a few more skills in their toolbox that really work.
Personally, I am a single mother of 6 Millennials - ages 11 to 23 and have been using Scott's work on "Acknowledgment" to connect with them and it is part of the reason we have great communication and a very warm and positive home environment.
Scott Degraffenreid is not a parent and has been diagnosed with borderline Asperger's Syndrome (a mild form of autism) and has dealt with ADD symptoms in his adult life. One of the reasons I enjoy working with him is that he actually uses the Languages of Acknowledgment and despite knowing that he is 30% deaf (yes, that too) and should seem detached due to the Asperger's he is one of the more "connected" people I know.
Our associate Karen Stanwood, who creates corporate solutions with N2Millennials in the Pacific Northwest and Canade, is a classical pianist and CEO who is also a parent of an exceptionally bright and creative Millennial daughter (she also credits this material with her successful launch of this dear one into her adult life) says that all the important things are revealed in math, music and physics. All this material was uncovered using really complex math models studying actual behavior of Millennials and people who were especially effective in working with them.
Here are the materials on Acknowledgment that will assist you in connecting with your Millennials (and everyone else!) once you "understand" how their minds work.
